Dollar Tree recalls all Family Dollar products due to rodent infestation

0

Dollar Tree Distribution Inc. is recalling certain products purchased from Family Dollar due to potential rodent exposure.

This recall comes after FDA warning from last month consumers to discard Family Dollar store products in a number of categories, including human food, due to a severe rodent infestation at an Arkansas fulfillment center.

“Over 1,100 dead rodents were recovered from the facility following fumigation at the facility in January 2022. Additionally, a review of internal company records also indicated the collection of over 2 300 rodents between March 29 and September 17, 2021, demonstrating a history of infestation,” according to the FDA public warning.

The products were distributed to Dollar Tree stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.

The recall includes food products, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and pet food and treats purchased at Family Dollar retail stores.
